Pan India Essay Writing Competition

The Ministry Of Environment, Forests and Climate Change , Government of India organized Pan- India Essay Writing Competition for students at secondary ( 8th,9th, 10th) and Senior Secondary (11th& 12th ) on the theme- A future without littered plastic waste and single use plastic items- through sustainability and circularity. in collaboration with Ministry of Education.

The students of Sanskriti submitted a number of entries for this wonderful initiative. These entries express the urgent need to work towards stopping plastic pollution. They also point towards how passionate our peers are to stop the devastation caused by plastic. To applaud the effort put in by these students and to marvel at their creative ideas to stop the use of Single Use Plastics, this issue of The Green Gazette has the theme of "Independence from Waste". The best of the entries to this competition have been selected and edited by the members of Viridian Club, and published here in our own magazine. This issue focuses on not only how we can manage waste on a personal and student level but also the impact of waste on the planet as a whole. We hope that these essays not only make you aware of the hazards of using plastic but also teach you various ways you can cut off plastic from your lives. Happy Reading!
