To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people exist, that is all. ~ Oscar Wilde

Lit cigarettes, cheap liquor,

Scanty clothes, pictures filtered.

Dirty mouths, selfish intentions,

Suffering depression, soaring passions.

Messy affairs, embarrassing scandals,

In and out of love, too much to handle.

Heartbroken or heartbreakers,

Stalking lovers, nasty haters.

Social media addicts, gossiping professionals,

Flashy cameras, bendy postures.

Hesitant confessions, awkward rejections,

Flirty girls and playboys’ descriptions.

The mirror’s the best friend

Married to the phone till it’s dead.

Loads of food or none at all,

Fat balls or straight tummy dolls.

Coloured lips, smoky eyes,

Painted faces, petty lies.

“I Quit!” “I’m sorry!” they cry

High on emotions, they choose to die.

Why? Why such a youth you leave behind-

Who’ve forgotten to live and each moment wish to rewind?
