Nature Strikes back! #2

Nature strikes back

The cities that never slept

Finally took the much needed break

Not because they had to,

But for humanity's sake

From bustling traffic & crowd around

To 1000s of flights up in the sky

Now the roads seems deserted

Need we ask why ?

Chirping is the new honking

City-air is finally clear

Families now spend time together

But the world is in fear

As all nature’s free offerings

This time came at a cost

A deadly virus outbreak

And millions of lives already lost

Nature taught a lesson

By breaking the cycle of HUSTLE

As a payback to mankind’s attitude

An ensuing yet silent tussle

For once humanity was equal

Because it hit us all

Regardless of religion or race

Unmindful of status, big or small

It hit us hard , where it hurts

Medicine world still burning midnight oil

Healthcare & public service people

left world begeistert by their toil

Some striving to keep their jobs

Some struggling to make ends meet

With our safety masks on

Let’s help today someone eat

With distance maintained wide apart

Let's get closer with heart

Some losses are not recoverable

But some are, so let’s start

Let’s be more human

Let every step we take be green

This is the kingdom of Nature

And all hail ‚Nature - the Queen

In our all walks of lives

To be ethical is the key

It’s easy to choose the right thing

Only that way we can be free

Science has and will unravel mysteries

For eras to come

But let’s not be greedy

Or be crazy dumb

Let‘s progress but with caution

& no harm will befall

For we don’t want to kindle a fire

That can burn us all
