2020 : NATURE FIGHTS BACK

The Streets are getting quiet,

The silence silencing the crowd,

Who knew something so small,

Would reverberate so loud.

A gaze out of the window,

Makes the world look small,

Makes the heart glow within

Just to defy it all.

For there is still fear,

It's just not said

The rich and the poor,

Together burying the dead.

The air is still thin,

The mind is still in doubt,

Something you can't even see,

Destroying the strong and stout

Someone is at rest,

Away from the screens

Someone's dying daily,

Besieged by her screams.

Someone's living life,

In all that he please

Someone is working hard,

Not even realising the breeze.

It's melancholy yet ironic,

How much man still claims.

The creature in the cage,

Is now the one who tames.

It's a strong feeling one has,

About nature watching through the sun.

You have been hurting her for so long,

That now you have nowhere to run.
